About Slate

• Slate is a private membership billiards club with around 70 members geared for the pool player wanting to learn, train, or play without the distractions of traditional billiards room. 

• Slate offers an atmosphere that is second to no billiards room. Our state-of-the-art facilities include but not limited to; 9 Foot Diamond Tables, 7 Foot Diamond Tables, Player Lounge, Snack and Beverage Amenities, Easy Club Access and Off-Street Parking, On-going Member Training, Live-Stream Matches.  

• 9 Foot Snooker Table will be added in the next 2-4 weeks. 

*Non-Member Access is available for private training with Josh Burbul, and other special events or group training offerings as advertised or upon scheduling a time to visit Slate. 

• Slate philosophy is a “process" mindset, rather than “outcomes” mindset. With joyful repetition, we practice with our learning mind "on" and our critical mind “off.” 

• This is the key to effective and efficient growth in our game. If we are results focused and frustrated during our learning process, we are absolutely doing it wrong and burning valuable time.

• Once we know the mechanics of a stable stance and bridges, with a straight stroke we can move forward with learning the art of striking; including speed, spin and thickness of hit and how these components blend together to make successful outcomes. 

• Establishing consistency in the above fundamentals we can now like links in a chain put them together to create run outs and effective safety play.
